3 Augmented Reality Apps for Interior Design
By. Humberto Ramírez Urdaneta
Generally created by furniture and decoration designers, these apps let you see how your house is going to look like once you make some changes and add some objects, which make them the perfect way to avoid regretting it once the decision has been made and the situation becomes expensively irreversible.

Available for Android and iOS, with it you’ll be able to experiment with several alternatives. On the one hand, you’ll be able to choose from preconfigured decorations in 3D, so you can explore the redecoration of your living room or bedroom, on the other hand, you’ll be able to explore the selection of furniture and objects of design from different fabricators and place them in your rooms. It is very simple to use, basically once you find an interesting object, you push the button, put the phone or tablet in front of you, indicate the approximate height, and the 3D model will appear in your room in front of you. If you move, the object will move as well as if you were looking at it in real life.

Houzz

The key of Houzz is the combination: design ideas, design professionals, reforms, construction, and home appliances. This way you can find ideas on how to design or redesign your house, professionals that can make it come true, and furniture and objects to decorate. Thanks to the Sketch function you can add elements to your photographs, and even if it’s not entirely augmented reality, it provides the same service only in static, like a copy-paste functionality of furniture and objects on top of photographs you have taken of the spaces in your home. Houzz is available for Android and iOS.
