3 tips for a move without traumas
Even though there is a lot of expectation and excitement for a new home, a move can be quite traumatic if some provisions such as these are not taken into consideration.
Make sure to have all services active. When you have scheduled when you are moving, contact the power, water, garbage, phone, cable and internet companies to change the contract of your services and so they can be active when you arrive to your new home.
Wrap boxes strategically. Put in some boxes tools such as cables, equipment and such, which are necessary from the first day with a label that says “open first”. This way you will save some time to enjoy your home from the second you get there.
Prepare your bed. Since at the end of the whole ordeal of moving you are surely going to be tired and you’ll want to get some rest, make sure that one of the first unloads is the bed and make sure to leave it ready for sleep, with the sheets you usually use. If you are afraid that the movement of objects and people may dust it, cover it with a thick plastic fixed with some thick tape so when you finish you can rest without having to do any additional movements.
